Traditions:
The Culture of Colombia is product of a very rich and diverse set of cultural traditions. A culture of Colombia is interaction of five major cultural regions.
Most Colombians would consider themselves to be Roman Catholics.
The Church has historically been a very important influence over personal affairs such as marriage and family life. Its churches, buildings and monuments reflect the history of the country.
Colombia has many traditional folk tales and stories about legendary creatures which are transmitted orally and kept for next generations to come. Some of them are common with other Latin American countries. The Colombian folklore has strong influences from Spanish culture, with elements of African and native American cultures.
The different roots and traditions of the Indians, Spanish and Africans have produced interesting fusions, particularly in crafts, sculpture and music. Bambuco, the national dance is quite famous but Salsa is also equally popular. The music loved by most people in Colombia is called murga, which is played by groups of wandering street musicians using stringed instruments. So many carnivals can bee only in Colombia.
Colombia has been the cradle of great writers. The most famous are: Gabriel García Márquez. (Novelist and Nobel Prize winner )

The legal drinking age is officially 18.
Sports and Hobbies:
The Countries national sport is Football and cycling. Colombia's National Team participated in three World Cup championships. Cycling is a daily activity for many Colombians,specially in regions such as Boyaca and Santander. Other Colombia sports, basketball and baseball also draws a hefty crowd.
Other sports of Colombia like golf, skiing and tennis are enjoyed and cherished by a relatively smaller group of people.
In the last few years growing sports at Colombia, motor racing is without a question one of the most prominent. Bicycle racing is, however, very popular in Colombia.
The traditional sport of bullfighting, brought to South America by the Spanish, remains popular in Colombia, bullfighting is normally to be seen in national festivals or in the bullfigthing season. Baseball, has become a very popular game in the recent years, It is specially popular among the people from the coast and it is strongly promoted all around the country.
