Medellín:
Medellín, officially the Municipio de Medellín (Spanish) or Municipality of Medellín, is the second largest city in Colombia in terms of population, with more than 3.2 million people, and ranks in population as the 95th of the world's largest urban agglomerations.
Medellín is divided into six zones and these are subdivided into 16 comunas (communes). The barrios and urban institutional areas make up the communes. More than 249 barrios and five townships are part of the municipality of Medellín.
